To add an extra layer of meaning, we drew inspiration from Ralph Vaughan Williams’ famous orchestral piece, The Lark Ascending. Vaughan Williams, a composer with deep ties to Surrey, captured the sense of space, elevation, and serenity in his music. We aimed to reflect a similar uplifting quality in the logo, evoking a feeling of trust, aspiration, and Surrey’s natural beauty.

Colour plays a crucial role in logo design, influencing how a brand is perceived. For Skylark Roofing, we opted for a combination of deep blues and warm earth tones. The blue represents trust, stability, and professionalism—key qualities in a roofing business—while the earthy tones nod to the natural landscapes of Surrey and the materials commonly used in roofing. For typography, we selected a strong yet elegant sans-serif font, ensuring readability and a modern, professional feel.
